Let’s talk about the Olympics.
I anxiously counted down the minutes to the opening ceremony because the Beijing one was so awesome, only to be incredibly confused and disappointed.  Why is that kid flying?  Why are those punk people with fake tattoos doing Irish dances?  What does any of this have to do with the Olympics? I had also jokingly guessed that Wayne Gretzky would be lighting the big torch since I was unable to think of any other famous Canadian celebrities.. and then he really did.  Aww, Canada.
THEN men’s speed skating?!  I always want Korea to do well, but I was secretly happy when two of them wiped out and the two hot American guys got medals instead.  Yeah!  Watching NBC is all I’ll be doing for my last week here.
